How to keep your cricket ball in good condition

Cricket is a game which is very popular in many Asian countries. Cricket is religion in the country of India. It is world’s second popular team sport. In the game of cricket, a ball and wooden bat is required. If you take good care of cricket ball its life will extent. Some popular points to remember to maintain a cricket ball in proper condition are as follows

  • After each use, clean the excess dirt from the surface of the cricket ball by wiping the ball.
  • There might be caked on dirt or mud on the cricket ball which can be removed by wiping it with a soft towel that has been dampened in a solution of mild soap and water. Wring the excess water from the towel before wiping the surface of your cricket ball.
  • If surface of your cricket ball is rough, then polish it with a water-resistant leather conditioner. If you want best results, apply the leather conditioner to your cricket ball according to package directions.
  • Dry your cricket ball with a soft towel after cleaning or polishing it.
  • Store your cricket balls in a non-humid, temperature-controlled room of your home between uses.
  • The traditional color of the cricket ball is red which is used for most daytime and two-day matches. Only one or two balls are used for an entire cricket match and shiny side is polished by players. The second most popular color is white. This color of ball is used during night games and where floodlights are going to be used.
